What is Pet Zoo ?
We have created a smartphone application called 'Pet Zoo - Your own zoo of real pets’. Pet Zoo is based on a genuine and unique idea that is a perfect blend of social welfare and economic growth. The project intends to bring a new kind of conceptually created zoo of real pets that goes against the traditional aspects of keeping an animal in a cage and letting people be just watchers. Most importantly, the zoo is accessible anytime and anywhere with a smartphone application having remarkable user-interface features. The project is already being implemented in London, United Kingdom. This smartphone application enables users seeking service of a pet to engage with registered pets around them at any location in a creative animal-friendly activity. It can either be by having a pet and its owner visit them on their doorstep/location through our app or by visiting a shelter/center that has pets and has organized a creative animal-friendly activity through our app. In both ways, creative animal-friendly activities such as going for a 30 minute walk or playing frisbee or cuddling with the pet will be the medium of engagement for the user seeking services of a pet. The app's two unique features would greatly help society.
Who can use it ?
Using this app – for instance, elderly with limited mobility could have pets visit them, and youngsters trapped by technology could interact with pets by visiting shelters. The shelters/centers where the user seeking service would visit can be considered as a conceptual ‘playhouse of pets’. On the other side, service providing entities with pets and animals such as the animal adoption centers usually run by NGOs in the world have users in the form of people coming to their centers and interacting with pets through creative animal-friendly activities and in return they are being supported financially which eases off the pressure from them as they only rely on charities.
